Xie Dongyu

Xie Dongyu is one of the most important person dedicated to the development of Sino – Italian cultural and economic relationship.

She started her career as advisor to the Italian Cultural Institute in Shanghai where, from 2004 to 2009, she supported Italian Institutions to arrange several cultural events, among them the Renzo Arbore Show, and the exhibition of Master Venanzo Crocetti.

In 2009 she was selected by the Agenzia per la Diffusione delle Tecnologie per l’Innovazione, as Head of the Operations for the organization of Italian Technology Exhibition at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, where she was in charge for the organization of the B2B meetings for the Italian innovations selected by the Project Italia degli Innovatori, under the Prime Minister Office and under the Authorithy of the Minister of Innovation, On. Renato Brunetta. She was also in charge to organize the first Italy China Technology Week, held in Nanjing and Shanghai, in 2011.

She acted then as advisor to Fincantieri, introducing China State Shipbuilding Cooperation, and managing the relationship until the signature of the agreement.

Her company, Step Forward Trading, is now active as business partner to many food companies to successfully sell their products in China.
